SDE-19D

SOUTH SDE-19D – Dual-Frequency Echo Sounder for Advanced Hydrographic Surveys

The SOUTH SDE-19D is a professional dual-frequency echo sounder designed for accurate depth measurement and seabed analysis in hydrographic surveying. Built for reliability and flexibility, it delivers high-quality bathymetric data for rivers, lakes, reservoirs, and coastal waters.

The SDE-19D operates with dual frequencies (typically 200 kHz / 20 kHz), allowing surveyors to combine precise shallow-water measurement with deeper signal penetration. This enables not only accurate depth readings but also improved detection of soft sediments and bottom layers.

Its robust, field-ready design ensures dependable performance in demanding environments, while integrated communication interfaces (RS232, RS485, LAN, and Wi-Fi) allow seamless connection with GNSS systems, data loggers, and USV platforms such as the SOUTH Aqua M20 and Aqua M20 Pro.

Designed for professional applications, the SDE-19D is ideal for bathymetric mapping, dredging control, sediment analysis, and environmental surveys where both depth accuracy and bottom information are essential.

Why It Matters: Dual-frequency technology provides more than depth — it offers insight into the structure of the seabed. The SOUTH SDE-19D enables professionals to perform more detailed and reliable hydrographic surveys. At GeoExpert, we integrate sensors like the SDE-19D with USV platforms to deliver complete, high-performance hydrographic solutions.

SDE-260D

SOUTH SDE-260D – Dual-Frequency Echo Sounder for Deep and Precise Hydrographic Surveys

The SOUTH SDE-260D is a professional dual-frequency digital echo sounder designed for accurate depth measurement and advanced seabed analysis in hydrographic surveying. Built for performance and reliability, it is ideal for use on survey vessels and USV platforms such as the SOUTH Aqua M20 and Aqua M20 Pro.

The SDE-260D operates with dual frequencies (200 kHz / 20 kHz), combining high-resolution shallow-water measurement with strong low-frequency penetration for deep water surveys. This allows accurate depth measurement while also detecting soft sediments, silt layers, and underwater conditions.

Its advanced signal processing reduces interference from muddy water, vegetation, turbulence, and vessel noise, ensuring reliable and stable depth readings even in challenging environments.

The system integrates an industrial-grade computer with a 12.1-inch display, real-time data visualization, and onboard software for data acquisition and processing. It supports NMEA communication and GNSS integration, making it suitable for complete hydrographic survey workflows.

Why It Matters: Dual-frequency echo sounders like the SDE-260D provide more than just depth — they offer insight into seabed structure and sediment layers. This makes it a powerful tool for dredging, environmental studies, and deep-water bathymetric surveys.

At GeoExpert, we integrate sensors like the SOUTH SDE-260D with USV platforms and survey systems to deliver accurate, reliable, and professional hydrographic solutions tailored to demanding projects.
